The organic rug is representing the puddles we find in nature. With the intuitive shape you'll get references to the puddles after a cloudburst. In the motif of the rug you will find two different faces, one with open eyes and one with closed. As in the rectangular rug the organic rug also represents the reflections which you find in water. In opposite to the rectangular rug, these faces are turned away from each other, not wanting to look at its own reflection. The organic line between the faces representing the surface of the puddle. The reflection is a depiction of a self-image. With one eye closed not facing the truth of the reflection.
In this design I have also chosen a different height in the pile. With the green design the motif are in a lower pile than the puddle and in the white it is opposite. Creating movement and giving different expressions.
After a long process with the colour selection I have chosen to make the organic rug in two different colours; one in green with beige lines and one in beige with cobalt blue motif. As for the colours chosen for the rectangular rug, these colours are also inspired from nature. Green because of the puddle reflecting the green trees around us and beige and blue representing the water and rain.
Each colour comes in two different sizes Ø180 cm and Ø250 cm and produced in an exclusive issue of 5 pieces. I've chosen this limited amount so you can have something original and I also love the idea that only selected people have my art rugs in their homes. The rugs are art pieces for your floor.
